There were too many stories to count heading into week one of the NFL season. Fans had plenty to look at, from Taylor Swift attending Travis Kelce’s week one game at Arrowhead to Tyreek Hill getting arrested ahead of the season opener.

The aforementioned stories ended with the so-called “hero” coming out victorious. The Kansas City Chiefs beat the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday Night Football, and the Miami Dolphins took a 20-17 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday.

As previously mentioned, Miami Dolphins wideout Tyreek Hill was arrested just hours ahead of the Dolphins’ week one tilt against the Jags. After video emerged of the incident, fans were not happy with how the arrest transpired. Neither was Hill, who called for the officers involved to be fired.

It wasn’t for long, though, as Hill was released the same day and could play in the game. In his 2024 debut game, the speedy receiver caught seven passes for 130 yards and one touchdown. But the celebration caught fans’ (including Travis Kelce’s) eyes.

Travis Kelce Had His Eyes Locked On Tyreek Hill And The Dolphins On Sunday

After Hill marched into the endzone on a nice ball from quarterback Tua Tagovailoa, he celebrated the score by mocking his arrest and placing his hands behind his back. Fellow receiver Jaylen Waddle ran up behind Hill and pretended to arrest him.

Travis Kelce discussed the game on the most recent episode of his ‘New Heights Podcast‘ with his brother, former NFL Star Jason. “I was watching that Miami Dolphins game just waiting for Tyreek Hill to go for 300 yards and five touchdowns, knowing what happened earlier in the day,” he said.

Tyreek didn’t exactly go off for 300 yards, but Kelce did predict the fact that he would have a great game, adding, “And sure enough, finally in the fourth quarter when I think Jacksonville had just fumbled the ball, literally the next play they go up top to Tyreek Hill, and he has this fun touchdown celebration.”

Kelce finally joked that if that’s how a player plays following an arrest, then he will gladly be locked up. The Chiefs are set to play against the Bengals on Sunday, so if he wants to be arrested, he must do something before.

Kevin Durant has wrapped up the Paris Olympics in remarkable fashion, becoming the only player in history to win four gold medals in men’s basketball. After returning from injury to lead Team USA, Durant’s performance has fueled high expectations for the Phoenix Suns in the upcoming NBA season.

Amid this success, Durant’s time with the Golden State Warriors has come back into focus, especially through the words of his mother, Wanda Durant. Wanda recently boldly stated that if Team USA’s top scorer had stayed with the Warriors team, they could have dominated the league for years.

We would’ve had 20 rings by now. And it was about 10 years ago. That’s how cold they were,” Wanda said on the latest episode of TV One’s “Raising Fame.

Durant joined the Warriors in 2016 and quickly made an impact, leading the team to two consecutive championships in 2017 and 2018. However, after the 2018 season, Durant left Golden State and signed with the Brooklyn Nets. He departed after a difficult 2019 NBA Finals, where he suffered a ruptured Achilles while playing against the Toronto Raptors.

Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry have shared the court for three seasons with the Golden State Warriors. While Durant eventually moved on to other teams, Curry has remained a Warrior for his entire career. Recently, an intriguing statistic about these two legends came to light.
