Patrick Mahomes turns family man in cute photo posted by wife Brittany after she celebrates birthday with Chiefs star

Patrick’s blockbuster season opener is a matter of days away

AHEAD of the 2024 NFL season, Patrick Mahomes has enjoyed some downtime with his beloved family.

The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback and his wife Brittany currently have two children, 3-year-old Sterling Skye and 1-year-old Patrick “Bronze” Lavon III.

But their young family is set to grow soon after they announced that they were expecting another little girl in an adorable gender reveal video on Instagram.

Now with the Chiefs’ season opener a matter of days away, Patrick made sure to take some time away from his preparations to be with his family.

The quarterback was snapped by Brittany watching his phone with both Sterling and Bronze on his lap watching along.

“They are officially daddy’s babies for nighttime routine,” Brittany captioned the snap, adding two crying emojis.

This adorable “nighttime routine” marked the end of a family-filled weekend for the Mahomes’ with Brittany having celebrated her 29th birthday on Saturday.

The happy couple marked Brittany’s big day with a meal out with friends.

Brittany shared a glimpse into their celebrations with fans, showing off her birthday cake including purple and gold decorations as well as sparklers.

She also shared a series of snaps posing alongside Patrick in front of two golden balloons captioned simply, “Year 29.”

Patrick too posted photos in Instagram in celebration of Brittany’s birthday, along with the caption, “My [heart]! Happy birthday!”

This included a photo from their gender reveal video with their two youngsters.

Patrick also shared a snap from one of Brittany’s Sports Illustrated Swimsuit events, as well as a photo from the Chiefs’ Super Bowl ring ceremony in which he could be seen wearing all three of his elaborate rings.

He’ll be hoping to add a fourth ring to his collection later this season when the Super Bowl heads for New Orleans.

In doing so, the Chiefs could become the first team to ever win four consecutive Super Bowls.

And in their pursuit of this potentially historic feat, the Chiefs may have help from an unexpected source.

Three and out

Patrick and Brittany Mahomes are expecting their third child, the power couple announced.

But Chiefs quarterback Mahomes insisted there won’t be any more.

“I’m done, I’ll say that,’ he told reporters at Chiefs training camp with a smile.

“I always said three [children] and I’m done. No, it’s awesome. I always wanted to have kids young.

“I got to grow up in the locker room. I think I’ve talked about it before, and it made such an impact in my life.

“And so, I wanted to have kids young and we’re having a third kid now to join our family.”

In a recent interview with NBC Sports, Patrick revealed teammate Travis Kelce’s partner, and pop sensation, Taylor Swift had “started drawing up plays” for the Chiefs.

Patrick even admitted they “might have to put one in” during the upcoming season.

Kansas City’s first opportunity to take a step towards another Super Bowl trophy – perhaps with the aid of a Swift play – will come on September 5 when they host the Baltimore Ravens.

This blockbuster matchup could be a fiery one given the Chiefs beat the Ravens in the AFC Championship Game last season to reach the Super Bowl.

Leading the Ravens’ charge at Arrowhead Stadium will be reigning MVP, quarterback Lamar Jackson.
